Where in India are you from?
My family is from Gujarat and Maharashtra. They are all scattered in the cities Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Baroda, Pune and Mumbai. I’ve traveled extensively to each. I have a special place in my heart for each place.
What language do you speak?
I am fluent in Gujarati and Hindi. I am working on reading better. I don’t think I will achieve writing in this lifetime. But then again, I have recently started to aim high so who knows?!
What religion are you?
I am Hindu, but Hinduism is more of a lifestyle for me than a religion. I enjoy learning about all religions, philosophies and cultures. I consider myself more spiritual than religious. This blog will cover topics around Hinduism, but that won’t be the only topic. I spend less time acknowledging differences and more time acknowledging our similiarties in the form of humanity. This blog celebrates and highlights South Asian culture, but that’s not the only thing it is about 🙂
Are you a vegetarian?
I am, loud and proud! I plan on covering a lot of vegetarian and vegan recipes for the Desi palette and more
Do you take guest posts and submissions?
Yes! One of the main reasons I started this blog was to collaborate. Please visit my contact and collaboration page for more info. You can also email me at email@example.com
Do you have a day job?
Yes! You can read more about my professional life here. I am also a freelance writer. Resumes, personal statements, blog posts, web-based articles, etc. I got ya covered! Feel free to contact me via my contact page, LinkedIn, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where is the best place to find a veggie burger in Atlanta?
Flip Burger (ask for it with the arugula, beet and goat cheese salad! #lowcarb), Yeah Burger, Farm Burger, Chili’s (yes, I was shocked too) and so many more. The Atlanta food scene is amazing for vegetarians and deserves its own post. There is a good chance you can find me hanging out at any of these burger joints on any given day of the week. If you see a brown girl in $2 sunglasses with red Toms on, come say hi 🙂
